Writer Hannah Furness, a royal editor for The Telegraph made these comments about the Duke’s win against News Group Newspapers just yesterday.
Everything has been highlighted by writer Hannah Furness, in a piece for The Telegraph.
In it, the conversation arose once the writer said, “Prince Harry, our noble dragon slayer, has laid down his sword.”
Because within moments into, what would have been a 10-week trial, an out-of-court settlement was reached by the Duke of Sussex.
In the eyes of Ms Furness, “it is the last thing anyone expected,” especially from a man who claims changing the media landscape and bringing them to “public inquiry” was his “life’s work”.
However, her comment didn’t stop there because the writer also made note of the fact that, while “it cannot be ignored that this is a personal, emotional success for Prince Harry.”
There is still the fact that, the “full and unequivocal didn’t address a few key things like, admissions about phone hacking, surveillance or the misuse of private information.”
Hence, “As such, one wonders how quickly the elation of the personal victory may, behind the scenes as the adrenaline wears off, give way to deflation for the man who has called holding the British press to account his ‘life’s work’.”
After all, “Having set himself up as a champion of the voiceless, Prince Harry now finds himself – in terms of taking the stand – back among them.”
And “His quest to bring down part of the Murdoch empire has ended in a fizzle rather than a bang,” she even added before signing off.
