Prince Harry’s win against News Group Newspapers has just caused an expert to question why he’s ‘lumping’ all journalist to those who just had demands of a criminal investigation being launched on them.
the accusation and the clap back has been issued by royal commentator Camilla Tominey.
She shared all this in a piece for The Telegraph and it began with her pointing out how, “Having said that he would ‘never settle’ this seven-year-long legal battle – Harry has now got what he always wanted – an apology not only for the distress he was caused by these abominable practices, but also the adverse impact they had on his late mother’s life. Fair play to him.”
But “Where I disagree with Prince Harry, however, is his repeated attempts to tar the entire media with the same brush,” she admitted.
“At times unable to even distinguish between actual reporting and social media trolling, he has repeatedly tried to undermine the official royal press pack with unsubstantiated claims of a ‘vendetta’ against him and Meghan and collusion with the palace.”
With this in mind, while Ms Tominey admits, “Prince Harry is entitled to criticise reporters who get it wrong.”
Because “Indeed, he has recourse to the Independent Press Standards Organisation and, as we have witnessed with his multiple court cases, the law.”
But “it rather flies in the face of his self-styled status as a bastion of the truth for him to object to stories, obtained legally and legitimately, that actually get it right,” she noted before signing off.
