Minister For Public-private Partnership To Improve Education’s Quality

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 19th Aug, 2024) Provincial Minister for Education Faisal Khan Tarakai on Monday directed the management of eight selected schools under the Public-Private Partnership for the current academic year to improve the quality of education in the province.

He was chairing a meeting regarding Public-Private Partnership (PPP) where significant measures to enhance the quality of education in the province were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Additional Secretary Reforms Jahangir Azam, Additional Director Dr. Iqbal, and the Public-Private Partnership team.

The provincial minister further directed that a case be prepared for management of eight more schools in the next phase-2.

During the meeting, a list of over 100 newly established Primary schools for boys and girls in various districts of the province was also presented.

It was decided to make these schools functional as soon as possible under the PPP to provide quality and modern education to children in underprivileged areas.

He said that modern teaching techniques would be introduced in these schools through Public-Private Partnership, and quality education would be provided free of charge, which would also help reduce the education department’s budget.

He further added that a PPP unit at the secretariat level and a PPP cell at the directorate level have also been established to improve educational standards.

The minister emphasized that through the Public-Private Partnership, children across the province would gain access to quality education, leading to improved educational standards and an increase in literacy rates.
