Kate Middleton has decided to step up and become the “face” of the Royal family as King Charles struggles with health issues and latest controversies.
According to a new report, Kate has decided to revamp the Royal family’s image as she feels “better and stronger than ever” following cancer treatment.
A source close to the Royals spilled to In Touch Weekly that the Princess of Wales has plans to tone down the lavish Royal displays and make them more relatable and down-to-earth.
They shared that Kate has already started by sharing personal moments, like her cancer battle, in a bid to reconnect with the public and restore trust in the monarchy.
“Now that she’s back on her feet, arguably better and stronger than ever, the royals have made the strategic choice to make Kate the face of the family for the foreseeable future,” the insider said.
“Charles, William and even Camilla know Kate is their last chance to save the monarchy,” they added. “She’s almost universally beloved and has a lot of ideas for positive change. She’s ready to take charge.”
After the news of 50% increase in funding that the Royal family gets from taxpayers broke, CEO of anti-monarchy campaign Graham Smith expressed his anger.
“All the money comes from the government, at a time when the government is not able to properly fund schools, hospitals, police,” Smith told Town & Country.
“It is scandalous. Not only should it not be going up at all, it should be going down,” he added.
And even though the Royal family has maintained that the money would go to refurbishing Buckingham Palace for everyone’s benefit, the insider said “seeing the royals flaunting their wealth is a huge turnoff.”
So, the Princess of Wales “wants the family to tighten their belts and be more humble,” the Royal insider said, adding that she “also wants the family to get out there and be hands-on and approachable.”
