After the devastating and deadly Los Angeles fires, Jamie Lee Curtis is finally back to her home two weeks after evacuating.

The 66-year-old actor took to her social media account and posted an adorable video of a blue jay bird quenching its thirst and diving into standing water on a stone bowl in Curtis’ backyard of her home in L.A.

Sharing her sentiments about being saved from the wildfires, Curtis wrote on her Instagram, “We made it back to our intact house.”

“As we were leaving and thanking the security teams and local boys, this beautiful bluebird reminder of the nature and wildlife that live among us in our canyon was surviving in the midst of this terrible, terrifying, and horrific wildfire that has taken so much, so violently.”

Earlier this month Curtis announced that she is donating $1 million to her community suffering from the fires and its aftereffects.

In a recent appearance on the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon, the Last Showgirl actress called the wildfire “a really awful situation.”

“As you know, where I live is on fire right now. The entire city of Pacific Palisades is burning. I flew here last night, I was on the plane, started getting texts and it’s f****** gnarly, you guys. It’s just a catastrophe in Southern California,” she told Fallon at the time.

“So it is – it’s a really awful situation. I am, you know, obviously going to go home first thing tomorrow and be with my family and try to help my friends,” she added.
