Cameron Diaz has declared she is “over rom-coms” while teasing a possible new movie role.
During her appearance on Capital Radio on Tuesday, January 21, the host Sian Welby quipped, “I mean, look, guys, you’re back with an absolute bang. This is action-packed; you’ve got, you sort of got a flame thrower at one point, almost at the petrol station, as we call it.”
He asked, “But Cameron, have I heard, is this right, that now going forward no more rom-coms just mom-coms?”
The 52-year-old Hollywood star replied, “I’ve left my rom-com era and I’m now in my mom-com era.”
For the unversed, Diaz, famous for her role in The Holiday with Jude Law, has made a big comeback in acting after a 10-year break.
She starred in an action-comedy movie titled Back in Action with the Django Unchained actor Jamie Foxx, for which he convinced her.
It is pertinent to mention that Cameron Diaz officially took retirement from Hollywood in 2018, and her last movie was 2014’s Annie.
