Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx, long-time friends and co-stars, have proven their strong bond by supporting each other through challenging times.
While conversing with PEOPLE magazine, Back in Action Director Seth Gordon revealed that the 52-year-old Diaz and the 57-year-old Foxx helped each other during filming.
Diaz made her return to acting after more than ten years, while Foxx had a medical emergency during production in April 2023.
Taking into account the friendship of both stars, the 48-year-old filmmaker shared, “They took turns in a really deep way supporting each other.”
“Anyone who was on set will tell you [Jamie] was the biggest cheerleader and hype man for [Diaz] and really for everybody involved, but especially for her. So, she got to return the favour in that way spiritually,” he mentioned.
The Baywatch director went on to admit that working with Foxx and Diaz was very special and remembered that the first time he met them was a “holy s***** moment.”
“[They were] totally finishing each other’s sentences … and seeing their chemistry and that energy together was really inspiring,” Gordon said.
