Bindi Irwin celebrated a remarkable day in her life, recovering from endometriosis.
The 26-year-old reality TV star took to her instagram account on Wednesday to mark her first “big hike” since ongoing condition.
In the post, Irwin expressed her gratitude for getting the opportunity to enjoy the walk in nature.
Calling her husband her best pal, the wildlife conservationist wrote in her post, “A day spent hiking over 10 miles, across 3 mountains with my best friend.”
She got emotional sharing her experience, saying, “My first big hike in YEARS since endometriosis took away so much. I cried quite a few happy tears. Endless gratitude in my heart. @chandlerpowell – I’ll remember this day forever.”
Irwin shared a series of photos featuring her hike in the scenic location.
One snap features the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter star Steve Irwin posing in front of a lake, donning a shirt that reads “Happy Camper.”
It is pertinent to mention that Irwin is mother to a 3-year-old daughter Grace whom she shares with Powell.
Irwin has been vocal about her struggle with endometriosis and has undergone surgery for the removal of a cyst in her ovary.
As per Mayo Clinic endometriosis is “an often-painful condition in which tissue that is similar to the inner lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus.”
