A man in the United States has recently set a new Guinness World Record (GWR) by meticulously constructing a 54-level house of cards within a mere eight hours.

According to The Indian Express, Bryan Berg, a popular American card-stacking artist and architect achieved the feat without using wires, glue, or any metal supports.

Berg’s attempt at building the house of cards was documented in a short video and posted on GWR’s official Instagram account before going viral.

The video shows Berg building the structure as a stopwatch ticks by. After completing the record, he places a mobile phone on the top of the card tower.

“Tallest house of cards built in 8 hours! Congratulations to Bryan Berg on his new record,” GWR wrote on Instagram.

He masterfully constructed the eight-story house of cards in a nearly airtight room to maintain a high level of humidity to keep the cards stable during the process, according to the GWR website.

The US architect was praised by netizens for achieving the new milestone.

A user wrote: “These are the kind of records I’m here for.”

Another user commented: “It’s unbroken record believe me it looks like magic but it’s real.”

However, this is not the first time Berg has set a record as he also holds the record for building the “tallest playing card structure” several times.

Berg created a replica of three Macau hotels which set a record for the world’s largest playing card structure. This record was broken by India’s Arnav Daga last year.
