Rawalpindi: At least 29 people lost their lives while one person sustained injuries after a passenger bus fell into a ditch, local sources told Geo News on Sunday.
The bus was travelling with 30 passengers from Haveli Kahuta to Rawalpindi, the sources said, adding that the accident took place near Pana bridge.
According to the sources, the cause of accident — which occurred in a mountainous area — is not yet known.
According to details, the locals are retrieving the bodies out of the bus with some already moved to the hospital, while the police and the rescue teams are on their way to the site of incident.
Kahuta is a tehsil in the Rawalpindi district and is one hour away from the city.
