The oldest licensed ambulance in the United States earned a Guinness World Record when it was driven for more than 3,200 miles from Hollywood, California to Hollywood, Florida.

The 1972 Cadillac ambulance carried a team from Symbiosis Ambulance and Axene Continuing Education and went on a 3,233-mile cross-country journey, as per UPI.

The journey began on March 1 and came to an end on Monday. The team says the trip was aimed to raise awareness of the importance of emergency medical services education.

An adjudicator from the Guinness World Records confirmed that the 3,233-mile drive was a new record for the longest journey by an ambulance.

The end of the drive was celebrated by the Axene Continuing Education team with an EKG training session with Hollywood Firefighters and EMS personnel.
