KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 13th Aug, 2024) The National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) celebrated the Independence Day with national fervor as its musical faculty and students presented national songs to a packed house at the Zia Mohyeddin Theater on Tuesday.
The program started with the National Anthem and then six instrumentals representing six regions of the country—five provinces and the Azad Kashmir—were presented. Then, the singing portion started with the popular national song, Sohni Dharti.
Then came another well-known song, Chand meri zameen, phool mera watan. This was followed by Mere watan yeh aqeedatain. Then, the music students sang Tera Pakistan hai, and Aye josh-e junoon, an original song prepared by a student. Then, a very popular song was presented, Aye rooh-e Qaid aaj ke din. This was followed by well-known Aye watan pyaray watan.
The evening then moved on to Watan ki matti gawah rehna , Iss percham kay saye talay, and eventually Yeh watan tumhara hai.
