Louise Thompson and her fiancé Ryan Libbey got teary-eyed recalling their terrifying visit to a medical center in November.
The 34-year-old actress underwent emergency surgery after experiencing life-threatening peritonitis, which led to septic shock.
While addressing her health ordeal for the first time on her and her fiance’s podcast He Said, She Said, Thompson got emotional.
“To be honest I took a whole load of pain killers and nothing scratched the surface. I was writhing around in pain all night and at about 4am, I think I’d managed to finally drift off a little bit,” she began.
The Made In Chelsea star went on to say, “I was hit with a really excruciating level of pain and I will say this is the most amount of pain I’ve been in, in my life.I’ve probably said that a number of times before but this was a whole different level and immediately excruciating. I knew from that moment that this was really bad.”
“I thought if I don’t die with what ever is inside of me, I’m going to die from the sheer pain of it because I feel like I’m going to have a heart attack,” she noted of her painful experience
Thomspon shared the details of her ‘life-threatening’ conditioning, explaining. “I had something called Peritonitis, which can be life-threatening, it’s really dangerous. I basically had septic fluid exploding all around my abdomen, like free fluid. That can then be very damaging to your organs.”
“I feel embarrassed, I genuinely feel embarrassed that this is happening because I just feel that my body has let me down,” she added.
