Music mogul Sean Diddy Combs was denied bail on Wednesday for the third time since his arrest in September.

The third bail plea was decided upon by Federal judge Arun Subramanian after Combs appeared in court on November 22, People Magazine reported.

“The Court finds that the government has shown by clear and convincing evidence that no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community,” Subramanian wrote in his ruling.

The music mogul is behind bars over federal sex crime charges, awaiting trial in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre, a facility the defense has called “unfit” for pre-trial detention.

The rapper has already been denied bail by two different judges.

The earlier judges cited concerns of witness tampering as prosecutors suspect that Combs would potentially tamper with witnesses if released.

The Bad Boy Records founder has already allegedly tried to intimidate witnesses from behind bars.

“The defendant’s goal is to blackmail victims and witnesses either into silence or providing testimony helpful to his defense,” the prosecutors stated in a court filing.

Defense attorneys claimed that the prosecution’s case was “thin” and proposed a $50 million bail package with strict release conditions.

Once approved, Combs’ ability to contact others beyond his attorneys would significantly be limited and would require 24/7 monitoring.

Combs’ attorneys assured Subramanian that the music mogul would reside in a three-bedroom apartment on Manhattan’s Upper East Side if granted bail.

Defense attorneys elaborated that Combs would not have access to his cell phone, which would be in the custody of security personnel, and that a log would be kept of all incoming and outgoing calls and messages. They further noted that cameras had been placed in the apartment.
