A large alligator wandering among the planes on the tarmac at a Florida airport was captured on video by a passenger on a moving plane.

The animal, estimated by witnesses to be about 10-feet long, was seen making its way through the planes and heading towards the grassy area, next to the runway at Orlando Executive Airport, according to UPI.

While the gator was peacefully rushing to the grass, an airport employee shows up at the end of the video to shoo the reptile and get it out of the way of airport traffic.

What is more interesting about the incident is that the airport staffer came to get the animal off the runway casually as if he encountered alligators roaming the airport on a daily basis.

Moreover, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) says that alligators are found in all of the 67 counties of the state.

Interestingly, female alligators rarely exceed the length of 10ft but their male counterparts can grow much larger.

The state’s record for alligator length is a male that grew upto 14ft 3-1/2 inch from Lake Washington in Brevard County in Florida.
