Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s party with Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz wasn’t as intimate or important as it was first reported.
On Thursday, it was reported by The Sun that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex hosted Brooklyn and Nicola at their Montecito home amid the young couple’s rumored rift with the Beckhams. The mole also claimed that Harry pledged support for the couple and Meghan and Nicola bonded over “common ground.”
According to another source, the party was actually hosted by Meghan and Harry’s neighbor, Brian Robbins, the CEO of Paramount and Nickelodeon. More than 20 guests attended the party, including the Sussexes, and Brian likely invited Brooklyn as his father, David Beckham, is doing a football show on Paramount+.
An insider told The Daily Mail: “David’s production company sold the show to Paramount, and it is something that Brian would have been very hands-on with. Brooklyn lives in Los Angeles, just down the highway, so perhaps Brian thought it would be a nice thing to invite him and Nicola.”
The source also said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle likely met Brooklyn and Nicola at the party, but their conversation was “limited”.
