Kelsea Ballerini has opened up about a career changing support that she received from Taylor Swift.
In an interview with Us Weekly, the Cowboys Cry Too candidly discussed when Swift praised her song.
“I think a big reason why things have worked progressively like they have is because of the women that have, not only given me advice in passing,” she said.
“The women that have taken the time to stop and turn around and reach out their hand and either share their stage with me, and other newer artists,” the five-time Grammy award nominee noted.
It is pertinent to mention that in 2015, Swift praised Ballerini’s songs from her debut album, The First Time, on her X account, previously known as Twitter.
“Driving around with the [Kelsea Ballerini] EP on repeat.. SO lovely:),” the Blank Space singer penned it, with hashtags, Love Me Like You Mean It, and Yeah Boy.
Before concluding, Ballerini shared, “It’s been a part of my journey, and it started with Taylor. When she tweeted about ‘Love Me Like You Mean It,’ before it went Top 40 at radio, it changed my life.”
For those unversed, the duo first collaborated for Swift’s 1989 World Tour to perform on Love Me Like You Mean It song on September 2015.
