John Cena is spending some quality time with his wife Shay Shariatzadeh at his upcoming movie Heads of State‘s premiere.
In a recent chat with E! News Amazon’s Upfront red carpet in New York City on May 12, the 48-year-old wrestler-turned-actor shared some rare insight into his marriage with Shariatzadeh.
“We try to make a date out of all these things,” Cena told the outlet.
The WWE icon, who tied the knot with Shariatzadeh in a private ceremony on October 12, 2020, said, “She’s here and we’re going to have some fun.”
While gushing over the cast of his new movie starring Idris Elba, Priyanka Chopra and Jack Quaid, he noted, “A great cast is always great, ’cause you’re only as good as the person you’re dancing with. We’ve got good professionals in a good environment, where they can be their best. We’ve got great stunts, great action pieces.”
Heads of State is all set to hit theaters on June 2.
