Jason George has shared the reaction of the Grey’s Anatomy cast when Denzel Washington came to direct an episode.
For the unversed, the 70-year-old American actor and director took charge of direction for episode 11, The Sound of Silence, of the long-running medical drama, which aired in 2016.
George played the role of Ben Warren in the drama till the sixth season and the since-cancelled spinoff Station 19.
In a recent conversation with the New York Post, the 53-year-old American actor revealed that all actors levelled up their game when Washington, the industry’s legend, was directing the episode.
George said, “It was an incredible episode that everybody was on their best [behavior] for. Everyone shows up professionally anyway, but when Denzel’s directing your episode, everyone came [correct].”
He went on to joke that the female actors put extra effort into their outfits even when shooting time was at 5 am, recalling, “I was like, ‘Y’all don’t dress up for us on the regular.’”
The Sunset Beach star also said it would double the fun if the Oscar-winning actor wore a pair of scrubs and acted in the show as well.
“It’s never going to happen, but you’ve got to put it out there. I’m hoping he does it,” Jason George noted.
