Emma Stone just revealed that she stumbled upon some “crazy s****” online while preparing for her role in Eddington.
While conversing with reporters at the Cannes Film festival, the 36-year-old American actress and film producer said she had to learn a lot about conspiracy theories for her role in Ari Aster’s COVID-era Western movie Eddington.
For the unversed, Stone, who depicts the role of Louise Cross in the film, is married to Joe Cross, a sheriff, played by Joaquin Phoenix.
Reflecting on shooting days, the Poor Things star shared that her social media started to change during filming and the algorithm began to show her things related to her character.
She said, “The only additional thing that scared me a little bit in the algorithm system was looking into some of the things that are in this film that haven’t been in my algorithm; unfortunately, I added them to my algorithm.”
“Because once you start Googling it, you start seeing more and more things. So, it’s a real rabbit hole, very quickly. Unfortunately, I’m still getting fed some crazy shit,” Emma Stone noted.
It is important to note that Eddington will premiere in the United States on July 18, 2025.
