Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ trial is ongoing, and Cassie Ventura is giving her testimony, sharing the ordeal she faced during her relationship with him.
Along with many distressing details, the musician shared that the disgraced rap mogul used to beat her when he was angry.
Often, it left bruises on her body. So, at the time, the 38-year-old said she wore “quite a bit of makeup” to cover her injuries.
To back her claim, BBC reported that a set of photos was shown to the jury, including the one where the Official Girl hitmaker is wearing sunglasses, which she said were to hide her black eye.
In their over a decade on-and-off relationship, Cassie said Diddy’s mood worried her the most.
This is because, she said, it was so unpredictable that she had to regularly keep track of how he was feeling because “I made the wrong face, and the next thing I knew, I was getting hit in the face.”
Also, his unannounced visits to the apartment he gave her in L.A. were in the Love a Loser’s singer words the “stomach in knots” moments because she had no idea if Diddy was angry.
With this, Cassie said she started to see “a different side of him, which was his abusive side. But there was still love there.”
