Bobby Brown recently got candid about healing after the deaths of his two kids, Bobby Brown Jr. and Bobbi Kristina and erstwhile wife Whitney Houston.
The 56-year-old American singer-songwriter and actor appeared on the May 19 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show, where he opened up about his great loss, revealing that he has been in therapy to “work through” his grief following the passing of his children and ex-wife.
Expressing his feelings, Brown quipped, “Lots of prayer, first and foremost, that absolutely took me to the point where I accepted therapy in my life. I accepted going to a therapist and really working out all of the issues that I had within me.”
He went on to share that he got professional help with the support of his five remaining children and especially his wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown.
The Grammy winner said, “Also, just family … being there for me when I was down and when I wasn’t feeling right and when times get hard.”
“They’re still there because it doesn’t stop. It’s not like it just goes away. It’s gonna be with you forever, but it’s about dealing with it and really paying attention to yourself. Paying attention to how you’re feeling that day and letting somebody know how you’re feeling that day. You know, not keeping it inside,” Brown noted.
For the unversed, the Don’t Be Cruel crooner’s daughter Bobbi Kristina passed away due to a combination of drowning and drug intoxication at age 22 on July 26, 2015.
His son, Bobby Brown Jr, died due to drug overdose at the age of 28 in November 2020.
It is pertinent to mention that at the age of 48, Whitney Houston was found lifeless at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California, on February 11, 2012.
