Blake Lively appears to be leaning on her family for support as tensions rise in her once-close friendship with Taylor Swift.
The Gossip Girl actress was seen enjoying a night out with her half-sister, actress Robyn Lively in New York City on Wednesday, just days after new legal filings revealed explosive allegations involving Swift.
The sisters were spotted dining at the upscale Manhattan Italian restaurant Scalinatella, with Robyn sharing clips of the evening on Instagram.
In the video, a waiter is seen grating cheese over pasta, with Robyn captioning it, “Manifested dreams come true!”
She described the outing as a “date night” with Blake, who later reposted the content, calling the meal her “favorite” with her “favorite @robynlively in the whole world.”
According to Daily Mail, the outing came shortly after it was reported that Taylor Swift felt “exploited” after being subpoenaed as a witness in Lively’s escalating legal dispute with It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni.
Moreover, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December, accusing him of sexual harassment during the filming of the Colleen Hoover adaptation.
In response, Baldoni countersued for $400 million, alleging defamation by Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist.
Additionally, a newly surfaced legal letter filed by Baldoni’s legal team claims Lively attempted to pressure Swift into publicly supporting her in the dispute.
As per the publication, the filing alleges Lively even suggested Swift delete text messages between them and threatened to release personal messages if the pop star refused to issue a statement of support.
Furthermore, Swift, who had maintained a close friendship with Lively for over a decade, and is godmother to Lively and Reynolds’ three eldest children, was reportedly devastated by the subpoena and the turn of events.
Sources claim Swift has since tried to distance herself from the legal saga and from Lively, which may explain their recent lack of public appearances together.
It is worth mentioning that Swift’s boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, also unfollowed Reynolds on Instagram, further fueling speculation of a falling-out, as per the outlet.
