Billy Ray Cyrus penned down a heartfelt tribute to his former wife Tish Cyrus, his own mother, and Miley Cyrus on mom’s special day.
The Achy Breaky Heart singer took to his official Instagram account on Sunday to share a thoughtful post on Sunday, May, 11, on the occasion of Mother’s Day.
“Happy Mother’s Day to all #StrongMothers out there. Here’s a couple that made our family who and what we are in this photo for Sunday Callin,” he began his tribute.
“My Mom Ruthie… who loved Willie and her mama Mary who was born with the musical gift and passed it down to all of us in the family who play music by ear… Thank God she did … cause I can’t read a note,” Billy recalled.
“I’m so proud of Miley and her guts and her courage… her wisdom and strength to bring it when our family needed it most. We are so close to a full healing. We have all been through a lot,” the proud father continued.
While requesting his follower’s for “an extra prayer for the CYRUS Family” he gushed over Tish calling her “a strong mother.”
“Trust me I’m the first to admit… being married to me was not easy. I’m very good at making mistakes. A very imperfect man. But thank goodness…somewhere along the line my Mama also taught me life is a series of adjustments. Ha ha! Yep. Being honest here. Since I was a kid… I had to learn that lesson the hard way. Funny how history repeats itself. Full circle,” he concluded.
The post came a few days after Miley reunited with her dad at her brother Braison’s 31st birthday.
