Abbie Chatfield has ignited headlines once again, this time by publicly offering to stop posting online, for a price.

In a tongue-in-cheek Instagram Story shared on Thursday, Chatfield proposed that critics of her political views could pay her $8,000 a month in exchange for her silence.

In regards to this, she wrote, “To the men who hate me so much, we can do this!!” alongside a graphic that read “Buy my silence, permanently.”

According to Daily Mail, the former Bachelor star has faced ongoing backlash in recent months for her outspoken political commentary, particularly surrounding the 2025 Australian federal election.

On Wednesday, she lashed out on social media after learning that Greens leader Adam Bandt had lost his seat in Melbourne, a result that prompted trolling from right-wing users.

Responding to one such comment asking if she needed a welfare check, Chatfield posted a now-deleted TikTok video calling her critics “deeply unlikeable, unintelligent, ugly, strange, isolated people.”

She went on to accuse right-wing voters of craving validation and community in the lead-up to the election, as per the publication.

Despite the heated exchanges, Chatfield celebrated the overall result, expressing joy that Peter Dutton appeared to be falling behind in the polls.

She became emotional during an Instagram Live on election night, praising Australians for voting for “intelligent, empathetic” leadership and saying the result offered hope for the nation’s future, as per the outlet.

In regards to this, she said through tears, “This is the most important election of our lives. It’s so relieving… This is so important for our mental health—not living in a country where the majority of people are hateful.”
