Taylor Swift has been subpoenaed into the ongoing legal battle between her longtime friend, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni.
Following this, a source, who is close to the duo, candidly discussed with US Magazine about their friendship after the songstress got dragged into the feud.
“Taylor and Blake have talked, but it’s strained,” the insider said. “Taylor is very uncomfortable about being pulled into the lawsuit. It’s a huge thing now.”
Also, the insider told the magazine, “Taylor was shocked to be referred to in work messages sent to Blake’s director and to be brought into this.”
For those unversed, in a text message to Baldoni during a legal dispute, the 37-year-old actress compared herself with Game of Thrones’ Khaleesi and referred to her husband, Ryan Reynold, and the 35-year-old singer as her dragons to gained control over creative decision-making in filming It End with Us.
Moreover, the source shared that the Gossip Girl actress considered Swift as her sister and also apologized for being dragged into the feud.
In response to this, I Knew You Were Trouble singer has forgiven her and she “still considers Blake a friend. But the lawsuit is still ongoing, and until it’s resolved, [things are] difficult.”
However, the 14-time Grammy winner “isn’t worried about the subpoenas, but the “biggest issue seems to be protecting herself emotionally and legally. She’s always been someone who values loyalty, and right now, she’s navigating how to preserve that while also setting boundaries in a complicated, high-stakes situation.”
