Thunderbolts* actress John-Kamen gushed over Florence Pugh and her leadership skills in the movie.
During her recent interview with Us Weekly, the 35-year-old discussed the off-screen bond she shared with her Thunderbolts co-stars.
In this chat, John, who plays Ava Starr, also revealed that much like Florence’s character Yelena leads the team, Florence “led” the cast.
Speaking highly of the Little Women actress, John-Karen shared, “Honestly, she’s absolutely amazing.”
She went on to note, “She really led [the] ship of this movie,” remarking, “She’s incredible and she’s so open.”
Florence’s efforts while playing Yelena Belova, a Black Widow, in the blockbuster mover can be underscored by her own statements.
Revealing her personal struggles during the project, the actress penned a lengthy Instagram post.
She called this post a “love letter to Thunderbolts” and to all the people who contributed to the film’s making.
She began elaborating on her journey as Yelena by stating, “This is just my love letter to Thunderbolts* and to all the people that made it. This movie has had whispers since we shot Black Widow, 6 years ago now.”
Later in the post, she admitted that she has built an “emotional connection” with the film, her character, and the history of Yelena.
